Hello, my name is Eric C. First off, This website is designed as a portfolio to showcase my essays and coding projects. Second, I am someone looking for opportunities in Information Technology, hopefully as a Tier 1, Jr., or Helpdesk Tech.

A long while ago, I first learned about website building while I was a freshman at Moorpark College. While I transferred to California Lutheran University I decided that I wanted to delve more into open source projects. Originally, I wanted to design a website from scratch from HTML to CSS/JS. However, building a website from scratch with no frameworks can be intimidating. Therefore, I decided to look for ways where I could automate or simplify the process of website building while also making sure I understood what code was running.

I discovered Jekyll, a static website generator built with Ruby. It allows major organization and efficicancy for a portfolio website like this to run. There is also Hugo which is similar to Jekyll except Hugo is written in Go.

I also learned how to host my own website with novice experience using tutorials and a cloud server.

My short term goal is to build my I.T Career and hopefully make some good money along the way My long term goal is to keep being passionate about what I love most. From discovering new alternatives to the technological mainstream tools that we are so accustomed to. From looking at the ethical and moral qualms from the rapid development of technology that could be harmful if unsupervised, and if you don’t believe me look at FTX or Theranos. From first learning about Ubuntu and Linux in high school all the way to projects I commit to outside of Academia or work. I know the new buzzword is life-long learner but I too hope to find a community of life-long learners who are also passionite about Open Source Software and IT.

The original template for this site goes to the credit of So-Simple and Minima. I changed a few things on my end for my own preference which is what the site is currently running under.

More soon to come! I know Jekyll has a better way to integrate this email with a button or whatnot but I like simple and classic. If you want to learn more, you can shoot me an email at : ** ericCsharp@outlook.com **
